The historic tram network – Porto Tram City Tour –  is an undeniable symbol of the city of Porto. Its history dates back to 1872  when the first line of "American cars” was opened in the city of Porto. The tram network is currently made up of 3 different lines running through Porto’s most iconic landmarks:

Line 1,  or Riverside Line running between Porto’s historic downtown and Passeio Alegre Garden offering  a unique route along the banks of the River Douro.
Line 18, or Restauração line is operating  between Massarelos and Carmo on a route connecting the historical area of the parish of Massarelos with Cordoaria Garden and the surroundings;
Line 22, or the Downtown Line running through Porto’s most famous downtown streets on a circular route between Carmo and Batalha /Guindais Funicular and Lift .

Departure dates: Daily
October to March(Monday to Friday): between 9:45am to 17:45pm.
April to September(Monday to Friday): between 9:30am to 20:20 pm.
October to March(Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays): between 9:45am to 17:45pm.
April to September(Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays):between 9:30am  to 20:55pm.

Frequency: 30 minutes. Weekend and holidays: 1 hour until 12:45pm.

Line 18:
Departure point:  Massarelos
Departure dates: Daily
October to March: between 8:18 am to 18:48 pm.
April to September: between 8:03am to 18:03pm.

Line 22:
Deparure point: Carmo
Departure dates: Daily
October to March: between 9:30am to 18:30pm.
April to September: between 9:15am to  19:15pm.
